Today I realized that the Freedoms Network is not really a network in the sense of funding, and business. It’s like a prepper version of Facebook. I say that lovingly. Its a secret hidden bunker. If Facebook got anti-gun or died a violent death, we’d have a place. Business wise its sleepy. Facebook still has a million plus people in it so if your are trying to get folks to find you, that is still the spot to be in.
It was created to grow the blogs, podcasts and reach out to other patriots. It allows the admins to create pages, blogs, forums and discussion threads, as well as share pictures and audio in support of their blogs and podcast. Blogging and podcasting’s special sauce today is in relationships or connecting with others online. It was created it after seeing how much Facebook manipulates personal data, spams and sells information of the millions that are on it. It is small and self policing so it doesn’t have the trolls of forums.
I was recently talking to Jake Challand creator of the new Firearms Radio Network, and learned what a true network is supposed to be. If you are looking to monetize your podcast, you might want to see if they are a good fit for you. Freedoms’ Network is a duplication of Facebook without the traffic. (boo) So if you are trying to grow your audience you still need a presence on other forums.
Oh me, I am ok. Kinda in a Miracle on 34th Street Kris Kringle thing right now. I just want the best for you. I won’t hold a grudge or think less of you for bailing, or whatever you decide.
Freedoms Network was launched officially on August 1, 2012.
It launched with just over 100 friends that are fans of the shows, podcasters and bloggers. I created this to try to help content providers achieve their goals – highlight their best work – encourage them – and if need be go out of my way to work on their terms.
The success of the site is dependent on the users. The good news is that the people that are on it are great people. They are men and women you wouldn’t mind introducing to your family, or having a meal with.
For now, for the FN, the key for your success is to put your RSS feeds here so that folks on this site can find your products if they didn’t already know about them. I paid for a year subscription to this social media platform, along with the domains. It might be a bust or it might not be. I could always re-name this bad boy.
