There is a good reason folks like you and I hate being falsely accused. It’s a sin. The Bible and the Talmud teach it.
Exodus 20:16 – “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Mechilta to Exodus 20:13 – One who bears false witness against one’s neighbor commits as serious a sin as if one had borne false witness against God, saying that God did not create the world.
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19
Well, that is what has happened to those of us that own guns. Some how, folks have lumped murderers, psychopaths, and sick people with your friends, uncles, grandparents, police officers, veterans and neighbors that own firearms. You have bypassed reasonable and gone for the throat. Folks are no longer satisfied with restricting our right to own what we want. Fear and the lack of common sense have taken over. Panic and a mob mentality has become mainstay. It is not backed by any proof. Guns do not equate to murder.
And the world at the same time is not safer. It is growing increasingly violent. The outrage is not focused on the problem of our immoral, hedonistic, pagan, idolatrous, society. We are using a mechanical device, and the parts of it to scapegoat, and disarm the people that can be trusted to protect, preserve, and defend our neighborhoods.
I am against and oppose any new restrictions on my right to keep and bear arms. I have already been reasonable. Now its time to just say no. Stop and desist. I am not your problem. I am not a threat.
Gun ownership does not equal murder.
Magazine capacity has no effect on crime
I am against violence too. There is no Gun-Violence there is just violence.
I am offended by people that disregard my right to life. The right to live free. The right to own what I want to own. And those that are being used by the political system and don’t know it.
My people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6
We are easily spun up over things we really don’t understand or know. Did you know that the Bushmaster mentioned in Newtown, CT was never used? It was found in the trunk of the car of the crazy boy that murdered those people. Folks have over reacted and run amok.
Hunters, do you know that all hunting rifles were at some time in history military style weapons? Don’t agree with the prohibitionist. They want to ban your hunting guns too.
Murder is still a sin, still wrong, still illegal.
Gun ownership is not a crime.
Our society is broken, as are some of our churches.
Guns are not the problem they are just the scapegoat.
Magazine capacity is not the problem.
The so called assault weapons are not the problem.
We are a nation that prefers a lie to the truth.
We have a society where everything is permissible except responsibility.
Being falsely accused is sickening. It’s hurtful. It can turn your mood sour, knowing you didn’t do anything wrong but are being labeled or associated with something negative.
Does it bother you?
Do you hate been wrongly accused?
